Onyinyechi Basil is the New Miss Universe Nigeria | Reason Why Chidimma Adetshina Snubbed Miss Nigeria Universe

The 2025 Miss Nigeria Universe is Onyinyechi Basil. The stunning beauty who beat about 22 other contestants was crowned yesterday in Nigeria.

Her win wasn't drama free as the beauty queen was crowned under seemingly controversial circumstances. This is because  her predecessor, Chidimma Adetshina aka Chichi Vanessa refused to physically crown her.

Chidimma instead released a non chalant video talking about her reign where she confirmed she won't be physically present to crown the incoming queen.
This confirmed months of speculations that Chidimma had fallen out with the organisers of Miss Nigeria Universe, specifically Guy Bruce and his team.
