PATIENCE OZOKWOR'S NIKE AD CAMPAIGN
Nollywood Icon Patience Ozokwor, fondly known as Mama G, just scored her first major endorsement deal—with Nike.
The Nollywood matriarch and legendary actress is among those set to appear in the highly anticipated Nike x Olaolu Slawn collaboration. This collection is a collaborative effort between Nike and Nigerian-born, UK-based artist and designer, Olaolu Slawn. Lagos-based fashion photographer Stephen Tayo is the photographer behind the campaign.
Her campaign with the athleisure fashion brand is the first major fashion collaboration of her storied career.
She joins an elite lineup of talent for the campaign, including football legend Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, Kida Kudz, DEELA, Grace Ladoja, Tolu Arokodare, and Samuel Chukwueze.
For the uninitiated, here is a quick primer on who Olaolu Slawn is and how he is dominating the global creative landscape:
Major Career Milestones & Collaborations
Slawn has rapidly bridged the gap between street culture and elite institutions, collaborating with massive global names across luxury, music, and sports:
Community Hub: In East London, he runs BeauBeau’s, a family-run café, community hub, and creative space named after his son.
Motherlan: He co-founded the cult-favorite skate crew and streetwear apparel group, Motherlan.
The BRIT Awards (2023): He became the youngest artist—and the first Nigerian-born creator—to design the official Britannia statuette and set layout for the annual music awards.
The Emirates FA Cup Trophy (2024): He was commissioned to design and bring his custom street-art style to the historic football trophy.
Formula 1 & Hugo (2025): Slawn made history as the first artist globally to design a full racing livery featured on an F1 car at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone (partnering with the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls team and fashion house Hugo).
High-Profile Collectors: His original canvases and customized luxury items (like a famously modified Rolex Day-Date) are collected by cultural icons including Travis Scott, Kim Kardashian, Central Cee, and Skepta.
