Patterns that speak. Elaborate but tastefully done embroidery. Luxurious chiffon and silk that offer movement and fluidity, while not sacrificing structure and elegance.
Ejiro Amos Tafiri presented all of these and more at the 2026 Lagos Fashion Week, which took place in Lagos on 25th October, 2026. The event also marked the brand’s 16th anniversary. If you have ever wondered what modern African luxury fashion looks like, Ejiro Amos Tafiri’s Spring/Summer 2027 “Reverie” collection may just be the answer.
The collection was heavily influenced by everyday African fashion, an evolution of the traditional attire our forefathers wore, such as the iro and buba and the danshiki. It reimagines the way Africans would love to wear these pieces now, while incorporating them into their lifestyles. The collection featured mostly womenswear, alongside a few heavily West African-influenced traditional pieces.
Fashion is one of the forms of cultural representation, and Ejiro Amos Tafiri’s SS27 collection is an expression of fashion as an art form, a cultural reimagination through evolution.
